Birthday Boy!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are all having a super week!!!!  I cannot believe that it's December already!  Where does the time go?

Today my son had a 8th birthday party to go to so I made this quick card for his buddy.  The card is from a set I picked up at Michaels with matching envelopes.  I used the Space Party cartridge and DCWV All About Boys stack for the base layer.  He just loved this card!  I hope his buddy did too.  I  am testing out the new camera that Santa is bringing me for Christmas - have to do quality control before Santa wraps this up right?!  I really love the picture quality.  The photo is a little flat so you can't see that the robot is popped up using dimensionals. . .  need to learn how to use all the features.  I think I'm in love with a Rebel - a Canon Rebel that is!

I also have some exciting news to share with you.  This Saturday I am participating in my first ever blog hop!!!!  We are featuring the Sophie cartridge.  The line-up is amazing - I hope you will all stop back by and join in the fun.  I have a special giveaway for one lucky visitor!

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your Friday is spectacular!!!!

Get Well Soon!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all having a GREAT week!  Things here are hectic as usual.  I cannot believe that it is Thursday already!

The weather here has been beautiful, just what we needed after that early snow storm last week.    This weekend promises to be another beautiful fall weekend and I am so looking forward to it!

Today I am sharing a quick card that I made for a co-worker who was in a car accident.  She was all bruised up and broke her nose.  I felt so bad and wanted to cheer her up.  I am happy to report that she is feeling much better now.  It has just taken me a while to post this.

This card was the first time that I tried "Perfect Pearls" and I have to say I really liked them.  I had so much fun, I was looking for other things to use the pearls on!  LOL!!  I used the metallic pearls to stamp my sentiment in place of ink.  The card base is 6x6 kraft card stock from my stash.  The larger shape is cut with my Cricut Imagine using a lilac paper printed from the Vintage Damask cartridge.   The small shape is cut and embossed with my Cuttlebug and the paper is also printed on the Imagine from Vintage Damask.  I inked it up with Cosmic Copper from Tsukineko and added some copper bling with my Imaginisce I-Rock.  The ribbon is from Michaels.  Inside I used Autumn Leaves clear journaling stamp  to give me some straight lines for my message, which I desperately need to avoid having the inside look like the leaning tower. . .

Thanks for looking everyone and have a great day!!

Happy Birthday!

A little birdie to great you. . .

on your special day!

Hello Everyone!!!

Hope you are all well.  It has been so long since I have had a chance to post.  My poor craft room sent out a search team. . .  It's been utter craziness here with work and the beginning of the new school year, soccer, basketball and all the activities that start in September . . .

Just a quick post to share a card I made with Pagoda, one of my favorite Cricut carts.  The colors are inspired by the beautiful fall colors that are suddenly showing up on all the trees around here.  I was going for a zen look (lol!) with  just pop of color on the red bird.  The photo was taken with my phone so it's not that great, but    I think it captured the feeling I was going for.  I inked the edges with my Copics, used lots of pop dots, ribbon from Michaels and Glossy Accents on the bird.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you all have a terrific week!

Get Well Soon!

Hi Everyone!!

I can't believe how long it has been since I've been able to post!  We were away on vacation and got evacuated with the hurricane.  We got home just in time for the hurricane to hit.  Our town was flooded in so many areas we could not drive anywhere.  So many stores were closed - including Michaels!!  Just when things were getting somewhat back to normal, we got so much rain all the rivers and lakes in our town overflowed again.  It's just awful.  We've got over 500 people out of their homes!  How are all of you?  Were any of you affected by the hurricane and flooding?   I hope you are all safe and sound!

We are trying hard to get back to normal.  I thought I'd post a little card  I made for my Dad.  I used Create a Critter and the sentiment is computer generated.  I was inspired by a card that Momo had on her blog a while back.  I thought it was appropriate with all this rain we've been having. . .

I am also submitting this for the Bugs, Beasts or Birds challenge at Shopping Our Stash! Check out their blog - there are so many terrific submission on this challenge!

I have missed all of you my wonderful blog friends!  I am glad to be back and will be posting regularly again.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!!!!

Thank You!

The colors look great, but the card looks flat!

This photo shows the dimension . . .

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing a fun card I made using an Action Wobble for the first time.  The little puppy is from Create-a-critter.  I made this card to give to my in-laws from our sweet little dog Curley to thank them for dog sitting while we were away on vacation.  They spoiled him so much he almost didn't want to come home!! lol!

I am trying different ways to take pictures.  I posted two so that you could see the difference.  In the first photo you can see the dimension.  In the second photo the card looks flat, but the colors look better. . .  I see I need to work on this!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Happy Birthday!

Hi Everyone!

Hope your weekend was spectacular!  We were at the beach for another beautiful weekend.

Here is a card that I made for my niece.  I posted a card I made for her the other day.  Then, I decided that she might like something more "grown up" since she  is turning 13.

I made this entirely with the Imagine.  I changed the color of the chair to blue, since that is my niece's favorite color.  I used white and sparkly blue gelly pens to create the details that disappeared when I changed the color of the chair, headband and pillow.  I also changed the girl's hair from brown to blond and added some texture with my Copics.  I'd love to take a class on using Copics.   I really need to learn how to do use them better.  Lol!  Thank goodness for the clear blender.  Oh, and I also inked up the edges.

My Recipe:

Paper - Bazzill orange and white card stock
Cricut Imagine cartridge - Elise for all patterns
Cricut Image cartridge - Best Friends for the shapes.
TPC Studio - sentiment stamp
Bling from my stash
Ranger - Broken China Tim Holtz distress ink
Sakura Gelly pens
Copic markers

Thanks for looking and have a great week!

PS - I entered this as my submission for the Creative Critters Imagination DT.  Wish me luck!

Happy Birthday!

Kitty from Create a Critter.
The coordinating envelope!

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!  The weather here was absolutely gorgeous.  We watched a friend sing and play guitar at a place on the boardwalk.  After eating our pizza we went down to the beach for a few hours.  The water was really rough, but it had washed up high along the sand and created a little river.  It was great for all the children to play in.  Even the "big" kids put their chair in the river and cooled their feet in the water.

Here is a birthday card I made for my niece.  The card base is from the Paper Company.  It's an A-2 metallic green card,  The kitty is from Create a Critter.  The pink, white, brown and yellow card stock is all from my stash of scraps.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Safari Kids matstack.  The punch is Friskers and the bling is from my stash and Imaginisce.  The ribbon is from Joanne's dollar bin and the inside sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Everyday Life.  I just love this stamp set it has so many great sentiments!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July Everyone!

For those of us in the United States, today is the day we celebrate our independence as a nation.  It is also the unofficial start of the summer vacation season!  Everyone has BBQs with friends and family and lots of ice cream, watermelon and all those yummy things that scream summer!  We are down at the beach (or the shore as they call it here).  All the cousins young and old from near and far are here.  Fun times with the kids running around in the sand playing hide and seek until way past bedtime. . .  We are just enjoying the hot summer days for the next week. . .  before it's back to work and reality . . .   These days are the precious few each year that build memories of a life time.

We brought the baby bug of course, so hopefully I will have some cards to post later on in the week.

I hope you are enjoying this day with your friends and family!

I used card stock from my stash for all the solid colors.  The patterned paper is from the DCWV High School mat stack and the hats are also cut from a DCWV paper.  The sentiment on the inside is a wood block stamp from All Night Media.  I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Happy Father's Day!

Hi Everyone!
Here is a card that I made for Father's Day.  The photo quality is not that great because I took the picture with my phone.  I was at work about to mail it when I realized that I had not taken a photo!  This car looks a lot like one my father had, so I thought he would get a kick out of it.

The images are from the Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge.  The patterned paper was made on my Imagine using the Best Friends cartridge.  The card is made from DCWV card stock.  I used my black Copic to create tire treads, it's difficult to see in the picture.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Get Well Soon!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  The weather here was great after all that rain.  Sorry it's been a while since I posted.  We went away to the beach for the holiday.  My son, who loves crafting as much as I do, packed the baby Cricut, Cuttlebug and lots of goodies, but we forgot the Gypsy!  No carts to play with.  So we HAD to run to Joanns and AC Moore to pick up a few - LOL!

Here is a card a I made for my Mom.  She hurt her hand gardening and can't play Bingo for a while.  I sure hope this cheers her up!  She loves to garden and play Bingo.

This card is 6 x 6 on a pink card base using some great card stock I got at Costco  years ago.  It's so sad that they don't carry it any more.  It was really great.  The hearts are cut using Hoot "N" Holler.  They say "love you" and "xo" in the middle, but this is difficult to see in the photo.  This card really does look better IRL.  I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Bingo embossing folder in the Cuttlebug - worked fine without any special plates.  Turquoise blue is her favorite color.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Broken China to ink up the card and twine from the Twinery.  The white border is cut from Fiskars - treading water border punch.  I also used Stickles on the little star.  The picture is not the greatest.  I really need to set up a spot where I can take a good photo.  This card just blends with the background and makes it difficult to see. . .

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
