Get Well Soon!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  The weather here was great after all that rain.  Sorry it's been a while since I posted.  We went away to the beach for the holiday.  My son, who loves crafting as much as I do, packed the baby Cricut, Cuttlebug and lots of goodies, but we forgot the Gypsy!  No carts to play with.  So we HAD to run to Joanns and AC Moore to pick up a few - LOL!

Here is a card a I made for my Mom.  She hurt her hand gardening and can't play Bingo for a while.  I sure hope this cheers her up!  She loves to garden and play Bingo.

This card is 6 x 6 on a pink card base using some great card stock I got at Costco  years ago.  It's so sad that they don't carry it any more.  It was really great.  The hearts are cut using Hoot "N" Holler.  They say "love you" and "xo" in the middle, but this is difficult to see in the photo.  This card really does look better IRL.  I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Bingo embossing folder in the Cuttlebug - worked fine without any special plates.  Turquoise blue is her favorite color.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Broken China to ink up the card and twine from the Twinery.  The white border is cut from Fiskars - treading water border punch.  I also used Stickles on the little star.  The picture is not the greatest.  I really need to set up a spot where I can take a good photo.  This card just blends with the background and makes it difficult to see. . .

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Happy Sunday- Brother B-day Card.

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a great weekend!  Yesterday was gorgeous here after all the rain we've had - finally!

I made this fun card for my brother.  It's difficult to design cards for guys, but I saw this guitar on the Smiley Face gypsy cartridge and it reminded me of the Blues Brothers movie that came out in the 80s.  He really liked that.  I used Glossy Accents for the sunglasses, antique silver ink to "distress" the images and lots of pop dots.  The silver ink looks cloudy in the  photo, but it really looks like metal.  I colored the cheeks with my Copics.  The music notes are from an old Sizzex die cut.  The card base is from DCWV - All About Boys stack.  It actually had Superman on the edge - I just trimmed it to an A-2 size.  I hope he likes it!

Thanks for looking and have a GREAT day!

Goodie Bags!

Hi Everyone!

Congratulations to all the winners of the NSD events!

This month is my little guy's 8th birthday.  I made these cute little goodie bags for all his classmates.  He loves baseball, so I used a mitt from Boys Will Be Boys.  Instead of a ball - I used the number 8.  The stamp is from MPS - Everyday Life.  I had a lot of fun making these with my new E-2.  I wasn't sure I needed the E-2 since I already had an Expression (my DH was sure I didn't need it - lol!), but I have to say it is easier to use.  I am glad the Mother's Day fairy got it for me!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Quick Summer Theme Card for MPS Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Here is a quick card I put together for the summer theme challenge.  I used Live is a Beach cartridge.  I am not thrilled with how this one turned out.  I already have ideas on how to change it.  I just ran out of time for the challenge since I have to work tomorrow. . .
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

MPS MOTHER'S DAY THEME CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone,
It's National Scrapbook day.  My Pink Stamper is having an all day marathon of challenges. Check it out at mypinkstamper. com  I can't keep up.  But I did manage to make one card to enter.  I made this card for the MPS Mother's Day Theme Challenge.  It's difficult to see in the photo, but there is a ton of dimension.  I used Lori's Garden and Doodlecharms, lots of pop dots and my new MPS stamps - Happiest Moments!

Thanks for looking!

Have a great day!
